Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health invites applications for the position of Unit Coordinato r. Located in Norfolk Virginia, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is a leading community partner providing acute , residential , and Partial Hospitalization treatment for children and teens exhibiting behavioral and/or mental health concerns. The hospital is dedicated to providing high quality care to children, adolescents and their families. We provide quality care to children and adolescents in need, using quality, evidence based practice treatments. Founded in 1986, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is an 82-bed hospital facility accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS).
1. Completes Chart Audits/ filing for RTC with minimal errors and following up on deficiencies.
2. Completes secretarial and clerical duties/ responsibilities with minimal errors. Answers the phone in a professional manner, direct calls to appropriate individual and/or take messages and ensure timely delivery.
3. Schedules appointments for the residents and answers the phone in a professional manner.
4. Stocks unit(s) weekly with: office supplies, medical supplies, adequate copies of paperwork and packets, prepare requisitions and supply list for ordering.
5. Ensure Service Excellence delivery.
Qualifications: Have the ability to deal with diverse and stressful situations in a calm manner. Must be detailed orientated with a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrates the ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing. Must have good organizational and computer technical skills. Verification of absence of criminal record on local, state and federal levels. An individual must be able to perform each Essential Function of the job satisfactorily. Education: An undergraduate degree in psychology, sociology, nursing, counseling or related social science or business is preferred.
Licensure/
Certification: None required.
Experience: At least 3 years direct work experience in the area of mental health and some experience with auditing and filing. Certain skills and experiences may serve as meeting position requirements with managerial approval. Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
