Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to join our Oracle Technology support team. In this role, you will provide critical support for Oracle APEX and Forms applications in a production environment, ensuring system stability and optimal performance for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance and support for the implementation and troubleshooting of Oracle APEX features and Oracle Forms designs.
• Assist in building and maintaining complex APEX applications and Oracle Forms to efficiently track data, processes, and interfaces.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of database schemas, stored procedures, and functions, ensuring the overall health and performance of data sources.
• Review requirements documentation for accuracy and feasibility, providing support in identifying and rectifying errors during system testing.
• Facilitate application and database support throughout the Agile lifecycle, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to address issues effectively.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences while translating functional needs into technical solutions. Actively participate in team meetings, Agile ceremonies, and project coordination activities.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  The candidate must have:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience using Oracle APEX, particularly versions 17.x-21.x, and Oracle Database versions 11g-21c.
• At least 3 years of experience in Oracle programming and software development within Agile or SDLC processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages, cursors, triggers, collections, and performance tuning.
• Experience with key technologies including JavaScript, JSON, Web Services, XML, HTML, and UI/UX design.
• Strong skills in APEX analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of forms, interactive reports, grids, dashboards, and report generation.
• Familiarity with APEX security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with API data pipeline development (RESTful and non-RESTful).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Forms.
• Knowledge of legacy software migrations, system upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Understanding of relational database design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with version control systems, primarily Git and GitHub.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as a self-motivated team member.

Education and Certifications:

Associates Degree – Computer Science (preferred)

Compensation

$110,000 - $153,500 (based on the National Capital Region)

This salary range is based on the National Capital Region and reflects our good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic region or market conditions, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the stated range.
