We are in search of an experienced individual with an outgoing, entrepreneurial spirit who can help lead a team towards profitability and performance as well as enhance customer relationships. The Solar Project Manager will effectively engage with a project management team on all aspects of the construction project, preconstruction, design, permitting, cost, material, schedule, subcontractors, changes, and quality. The Solar Project Manager will be responsible for overall coordination during the design and permitting phase to ensure projects are on time and on budget.

We are seeking a candidate for this role that is willing to work on out-of-state projects. Per diem for meals and lodging, an increased base salary, and a stipend to travel home will be provided.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and permitting coordination.

- Responsible for general operational oversight and completion of large solar construction projects.

- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies for timely and cost-effective completion of projects.

- Developing and coordinating a successful construction execution plan.

- Assemble and lead a team of professionals, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and other specialists, to ensure efficient project execution.

- Provide leadership and support for project scope development and estimating.

- Provide leadership and support for project buy-out, project management, and project close-out.

- Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth project operations.

- Identifying potential risks, assessing their impact on the project, and developing strategies to mitigate or manage these risks effectively.

- Prioritizing and enforcing safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.

- Ensuring that the project adheres to quality standards and specifications, conducting inspections, and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes.

- Addressing and resolving issues and challenges that arise during construction, making informed decisions, and preventing delays or disruptions.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, designers, and construction partners.

- Engagement in strategic and operational initiatives to enhance our company's depth and optimize the unique solar project delivery method.

SKILLS

- Ability to travel out-of-state for the duration of projects.

- Demonstrate positive leadership, customer focus, estimating, and project management skills.

- Ability to anticipate the opportunities, implications, and consequences of situations and take appropriate action in order to create the best possible future outcomes.

- Knowledge of safety best practices and procedures.

- Ability to work through problems (technical/non-technical) in a crisis, make decisions, and provide clear directions. Recognizes and asks questions to seek to understand and drive to a conclusion.

- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.

- Ability to be dynamic, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and respond quickly to requests of customers, superintendents and construction partners.

- Ability to identify client needs and bid and manage the work from conceptual stage through completion.

- Exceptional listening and communication skills (written and verbal).

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to unique job requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- Five (5) or more years' experience in the solar industry a must; experience in the construction industry preferred.

- Successful history of managing multiple projects and customers simultaneously.

- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil, Mechanical, Electrical engineering preferred.
