Senior IT Project Manager . The
Senior IT Project Manager is a leadership role responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing complex IT initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, manage project teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions within defined timelines and budgets. This role requires a deep understanding of IT systems, project management methodologies, and business alignment strategies.
Senior IT Project Manager Responsibilities: - Lead multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
- Oversee the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication, including status reports, risk assessments, and issue resolution
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, business units, and executive leadership
- Allocate and manage project resources, including team members, vendors, and budgets
- Identify skills gaps and recommend training or additional resources to meet project needs
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, project governance, and regulatory requirements
- Champion continuous improvement in project management practices
- Introduce tools, templates, and best practices to optimize project delivery
Senior IT Project Manager Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale projects with multiple dependencies
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification required
- Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe) are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Smartsheet
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience managing cloud migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, or software development projects
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced environment
- Healthcare experience is a plus
