Work Days: Weekdays and some weekends
Weekly Hours: 35.00
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $25.34 - $26.81
*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices
Position Summary Performs non-interpretive tasks in order to allow radiologists throughout the department to focus on their primary interpretive and clinical tasks.
Job Responsibilities - Connect radiologists to technologists, front desk staff, patients, IT support and providers on a case-by-case basis to ensure timely communication.
- Facilitate communication between radiologists and ordering providers in relaying results to patient care teams as quickly as possible.
- Connect patients experiencing post-biopsy and post-exam reactions with appropriate nursing teams.
- Collaborate with front desk staff in requesting protocols, clarifying orders and stat reads.
- Manage incoming emails requesting same-day reads, re-interpretations and notifying appropriate radiologists.
Education Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related is preferred.
Approximately two years of experience coordinating projects or programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.
- Familiar with Internet applications.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Advanced interpersonal skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure, with a close attention to detail
- Ability to project/program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.
Licenses and Certifications Working Conditions/Physical Demands Role will require long periods of time in a sitting position.
