Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver projects within the public sector and healthcare domains. This position is remote, but candidates must be based in or near Austin, TX, to collect equipment from the designated headquarters.
As a Project Manager, you'll lead complex initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure successful implementation of EHR systems. Your role will involve planning, budgeting, documenting, and coordinating various project activities while serving as a liaison between stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Create comprehensive project documentation, including business cases, charters, schedules, operating plans, and requirements.
Oversee solution vendors to manage application and data migration efforts, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Develop and implement migration strategies, coordinate with business owners and IT, and provide actionable recommendations.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, system analysts, and vendors to address workflow and system requirements.
Lead data migration activities, manage workflows, and oversee application implementation.
Regularly provide updates on project progress through written and verbal reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Conduct meetings with subject matter experts, document workflows, and resolve vendor questions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SaaS EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
Familiarity with federal/state processes and documentation requirements, including business case workbooks and project charters.
PMP or Scrum Master Certification.
Understanding of modern software architecture and infrastructure components.
Skills and Experience
10+ years in managing multiple large-scale projects, particularly in EHR application domains.
Expertise in project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and Jira.
Strong knowledge of databases like InterSystems Caché, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Proven ability to research, analyze, and develop solutions for complex issues.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to inspire collaboration and productivity across teams.
Experience with data mapping, migration strategies, and implementation planning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder updates and team meetings.
