Site Lead to accept a high degree of responsibility in a leadership role within a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment within the Operations & Production Facilities department.
Role Summary: The Site lead is responsible for all aspects of factory operations with a hands-on approach and regular presence on the factory floor. Oversee all aspects of the production operations, including shop floor management, workforce management, flow disruption management, warehouse and logistics management, financial management (plant P&L responsibility), indirect purchasing, scheduling, quality assurance, and engineering. Work with the leadership team to ensure the facilitys operational activities and tactical actions are executed in accordance with the plants operating plan and budget.
Works closely with Program Operations and counterparts to ensure alignment on firm and forecasted business, including strategies for investment and growth as well as development activities with transition to production. Work with corporate functions on developing annual manufacturing business plans, operating budgets, capex investment, and supporting initiatives to drive key production activities and continuous improvements. Ensure the plants production lines are optimized to drive equipment efficiencies, material yields, and planned labor/overhead costs.
Direct leader of all factory personnel and leadership, including development of talent. Indirect leader of cross-functional teams and leaders supporting the factory execution. Set and reinforce performance expectations for all members of the factory management team and lead by example. Develop a dynamic and competent workforce. Work with Human Resources to recruit, motivate and develop a best-in-class team. Cultivate an ambitious work environment through collaboration, mentorship, and team building. Develop, iterate, and implement a plant performance management system to track key performance indicators covering manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, manpower levels and financial targets. Enforce company policies, including safety, production, quality, sales, human resources, customer service and accounting policies.
The Site lead will communicate with the functions and program on results and escalate critical needs through the Tier communication process.
It is imperative the site lead has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the production organization concerned with the assembly and processing operations, including a thorough understanding of manufacturing related policies/procedures, quality, and customer requirements.
Other duties and responsibilities include: - Foster an ethical culture of excellence, innovation, safety, and compliance
- Execute strategies to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements while focusing on profitability
- Financial accountability for factory AOP (Overhead and capital)
- Program EACs support and R&O management
- Rollup staffing & Training requirements and partner with TA/HR to develop tactical plan
- Accountable for overall Value Stream performance (Cost, Quality, Schedule, and Safety)
- Ensure shop floor is fully supported every day across every shift (GEMBA, Tiered Accountability, and escalation)
- Owns daily performance across factory takt plans, On-Time Delivery, and MRP to meet factory requirements
- Leads factory performance on safety, HPUs, rework, scrap, red-rack, and aging WIP
- Provide Operations proposal inputs (schedule, BOEs)
- Support Program Gates
- Support capital project development and implementation

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors degree and 10 years of related experience or Advanced Degree in related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a manufacturing environment required including supervisory responsibility
- Prior Operations daily management, process development, and organizational development experience required
- Broad management and leadership knowledge of a built to print manufacturing operation.
- Ability to influence others outside of own work area on policies, practices, and procedures
- Experience with making moderate to significant improvements of process, systems or products to enhance performance of work area
- Able to interact comfortably and seamlessly with all levels of the factory team from Direct Labor to the leadership team. Experience leading teams of both experience professionals and touch labor.
- Proven experience with managing AOP, Latest Reviews Estimates, Estimate at Completion (EACs)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A self-starter who can execute goals with minimal direction
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
- Ability to manage a variety of tasks and take the initiative to get things done. Comfortable working in a start-up environment.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: - Active Secret Clearance
- Experience in a government contracting environment with DoD and non-DoD customers.
- Working familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools and concepts
Work Location: 100% on-site in Camden, AR with some travel to Arlington, VA corporate office as needed.
Travel: 15% mainly within the United States with some overseas travel.
