Job Description

The Installation Manager is responsible for the successful installation and jobsite management for all projects run to the satisfaction of the customer, owner, and architect. This includes scheduling crews, meeting safety requirements, visiting projects, managing subcontractor labor, and quality communication with internal and external customers, suppliers, and crews. The position is the face for our installations to our customers and requires about 80% of the work week in the field managing from 10-20 projects simultaneously throughout the DFW Metroplex area. This position reports to the Director of Installation.

Responsibilities:

• ü Walking assigned jobsites 2+ times per week.
• o Ensuring quality installation.
• o Ensuring all safety standards are met.
• o Ensuring products are secured and maintained in a clean and organized fashion.
• o Ensuring all customer installation schedules are kept.
• o Meeting with subcontractor crew.
• o Meeting with onsite superintendent and project manager.
• ü Receiving jobsite materials and staging as needed.
• ü Managing all jobsite storage and lift equipment needs.
• ü Managing weekly subcontractor payroll.
• ü Participation in all branch and customer meetings related to assigned projects.
• ü Becoming material expert through reading for products, installations, and moisture testing.
• ü Weekend work as needed. Heavy work hours during seasonal Summer period.
• ü Occasional travel for training or support of out of town branches.
• ü Follow all direction provided by supervisors.

Qualifications:

2+ years experience with construction. Flooring experience considered a plus.
 Strong work ethic. Self-driven and disciplined to understand and resolve issues and be 1st in class.
 2+ years product and installation knowledge with tile, carpet, and resilient products.
 Excellent communication skills both written and spoken. Desire to proactively keep team and customers advised on assigned projects.
 Strong organizational skills with ability to implement in field.
 2+ years of management of employees and/or subcontractor crews.
 High level of integrity and high level of personal initiative.
 Computer or technical skills.
o Working experience with Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
o Working experience with ERP or similar business software.
o Working experience with smart phone apps and tablets.
o Working experience with Estimating software considered a plus.
 Ability to receive badges through clear background checks and drug screening allowing work on government projects.
 Clean driving record allowing use of company issued work truck.
 1+ years driving experience with a forklift and/or skytrack.
 Ability to lift 75 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in Summer heat and Winter cold environment. Ability to operate pallet jacks moving heavy loads. Ability to climb vertical ladders 20’. Ability to move throughout a jobsite via stairwells to access multi-floor buildings.
