We are seeking a passionate Healthcare Instructor to join our team. This is a remote, work-from-home position, open to applicants in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
Pay Range: Pay per class.
Position Overview: As a Healthcare Instructor, you will play an essential role in supporting our mission by providing an educational experience that fosters intellectual and emotional growth for each student. You will guide students through their journey, helping them achieve their academic and professional goals. We are particularly looking for candidates with recent experience working in Health Information Management (HIM). While teaching experience is a plus, it is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach assigned courses within the designated program.
Host bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom to engage with students.
Maintain a flexible schedule that accommodates office hours and one-on-one meetings to ensure a positive student experience.
Provide timely feedback to students on their academic progress, including quizzes, tests, homework, and projects.
Proactively reach out to at-risk students to increase engagement and provide support.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, submitting final grades in accordance with institutional policies.
Participate actively in meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Stay up to date with developments in the field of healthcare instruction.
Perform other duties as required by the faculty position, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and university policies.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Medical Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Health Information Management (HIM).
Preferred qualifications:
RHIT or RHIA designation.
CPC or CCS certification.
Previous online teaching experience.
Proficiency in using virtual platforms and multiple software tools, including MS Office, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, and more.
