As the Firefighter here’s the work you’ll do:

• Safely drive firefighting units to and from fires or other emergencies following laws and regulations. Operate pumps and power and other mechanical equipment as required. Keep inventory of tools and equipment on trucks.
• Clean and service units, maintaining them in a condition of readiness. Report mechanical failures or difficulties and missing or damaged equipment.
• Operate various Fire Department pumping apparatus with multiple water intake and discharge situations at an emergency scene with limited supervision.
• Perform required fire truck cleaning duties, inventory checks and daily/weekly/monthly inspections. Inventories must be check after every emergency response or training drill.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Two years related experience
• Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Fire Inspector I, Driver Operator Pumper I, Hazmat Technician
• Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Fire Inspector I, Driver Operator Pumper I, Hazmat Technician
• Must pass quarterly and yearly physical agility testing
• Must be able to obtain secret clearance
• Great attitude and team player

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $28.12 - $29.60/HR. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
