Job Description

Who We Are:

Hyperbolic Labs is on a mission to democratize AI by breaking down the barriers to computing power with our Open-Access AI Cloud. By making better use of idle computing resources across the globe, we offer an innovative GPU marketplace and AI inference service that promise affordability and accessibility for all. As pioneers at the intersection of AI and open-source technology, we believe in an open future where AI innovation is limited only by imagination, not by access to resources. We're looking for forward-thinking individuals who share our passion for making AI universally accessible, secure, and affordable. Join us in building a platform that empowers innovators everywhere to turn their visionary AI projects into reality.

As we prepare for growth with our seed round, backed by industry leaders, our team—led by co-founders with PhDs in AI, Math, and Computer Science—is poised to redefine computing.

As a Cryptography & Security Researcher at Hyperbolic Labs, your role will be crucial in maintaining the security and integrity of our decentralized AI cloud platform. One of your tasks will be to enhance and design the Proof of Sampling protocol. This protocol, which maintains the integrity and trust of third-party nodes within our decentralized network, combines the strengths of optimistic fraud proof and zero-knowledge proof approaches. It provides high security and efficiency within our decentralized AI inference network. Additionally, you will develop and implement advanced cryptographic solutions to safeguard our network and verify the reliability of third-party nodes. This role requires the candidate to reside in the United States. Team members are expected to work in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area at least 75% of the time.

Who You Are:

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the blockchain & cryptography Industries

  • Studied computer security or cryptography at the undergraduate, master’s or PhD level.

  • Possess a deep understanding of threshold signatures, MPC, BFT consensus, Smart Contracts and Encryption.

  • Have published papers in top security or cryptography conferences or journals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with L1/L2 blockchain companies.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Go, or Rust.

  • Familiarity with Solidity for smart contract development.

How to Apply:

Interested in being part of our mission? Email us at contact@hyperbolic.xyz with your background and how you heard about us.

Hyperbolic is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
