APP (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) | Radiology/Interventional Radiology New Hyde Park, NY Hours: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

In This Role, You Will:
- Supervise patients receiving contrast for radiology studies, ensuring safety and addressing any concerns or reactions.
- Conduct pre-procedure calls to provide instructions, answer questions, and assess patient readiness for radiology procedures.
- Perform post-procedure follow-up calls to monitor for side effects or complications and provide appropriate aftercare.
- Assist with intravenous (IV) starts for radiology procedures or other medical needs as required.
- Collaborate with radiology teams, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient and safe care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including pre- and post-procedure assessments, procedure notes, and interventions performed.
We Require:
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioners) or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (for Physician Assistants).
- Licensure: Active New York State NP or PA license. Certification as an NP (e.g., ANCC) or PA (e.g., NCCPA) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in radiology or procedural settings is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and proficiency in patient assessment and care management.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, move, or transfer patients when needed, and to stand for extended periods during procedures.
