The University of Chicago's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank to join our faculty. Appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in the context of a career in academic orthopaedic surgery. Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent on qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, 4) have completed an ACGME approved orthopaedic surgery residency, and 5) have completed an ACGME approved fellowship or its equivalent in orthopaedic spine surgery.
